Dating culture is on the peak worldwide, and Tinder tops the list of all dating apps because it is one of the most used dating apps, and people are finding their matches through it. There are many success stories you might be hearing about Tinder. Where there are a lot of people using this dating app, there are many who face issues with it, and simply not able to use it or sometimes, it just stopped working for them. One such error is “Tinder Login Failed” which has been posted by many individuals in the forums asking how to solve this issue. Sometimes they also get an error like “Facebook Login Failed” while trying to get into their Tinder account. There are many such issues asked by people in forums, and other sites which are as:
- There was a problem logging into tinder
- Can’t login to tinder
- Tinder login failed Android
- Tinder network connection unavailable
- Tinder server error
- Facebook login failed
- Tinder login failed
These are a few errors I have noticed a lot in the forums where individuals are desperate to use and find their match through this dating app. In this frustration, they try to find the solution here and there. They find a lot of solutions but hardly some work well. Therefore, I thought to jot down some of the good solutions that actually work, and share in this blog post.
Tinder Login Failed Causes and solutions
Many of the individuals get the issue Tinder Login Failed, and to fix this issue, you must know the cause of the error first.
Wifi Network Blocking Facebook
If you are connected to a wifi network and using internet using that, and that blocks Facebook, then you may not be able to use Tinder because you must be using Tinder with Facebook login. And, since FB isn’t working so Facebook login won’t work that will result in an error that causes you not able to use Tinder.
Solution => Either connect to other Wifi network or allow Facebook on existing wifi network.
Facebook Password Change
Nowadays, we all use our social accounts including Facebook on multiple devices. For example, you may have Facebook on your phone where you authenticated once, and you don’t get asked for the password every time. Also, you may use your Facebook account on PC as well. Sometimes, there are cases where a person changed his Facebook password using his Laptop or PC but forgot to update in the Facebook app on his phone. And, when he tries to log in to Tinder, he possibly gets the error “Facebook login failed”.
Solution => The solution of this problem is that you update the password or re-authenticate yourself in the Facebook app once again if you changed the password on another device. Most likely, this problem will be fixed. However, if it doesn’t fix the issue, there might be other causes as well.
Facebook App Permission
There are times when you have mistakenly revoked the app permission of Tinder from your Facebook account. If that is the case, you might see the error while logging into Tinder, Facebook login cancelled, or Facebook login failed.
Solution => This is very simple. Go to Facebook, and go to manage apps. Look for Tinder there, and allow Tinder from there. This should solve the issue.
Note: Also, Make sure the Facebook sync is working fine on your phone then the only Facebook login will work. Otherwise, it will create problems accessing Tinder. For this, you should go to phone’s Setting => Accounts => Facebook, then do check if that is synced already. If it is synced you will see “Cancel Sync” otherwise; you will see Sync Now. If you see Sync Now, do it so that syncing will start working.
Check if Tinder is Down
If you are not able to access Tinder, you should also check whether Tinder is down in your area or what. For this, you should check Tinder Down Detector outage map as well to know whether it is down or you are having some other issues.
Check Your Internet connection
There are times we don’t realise that the internet is not working on the phone and the apps that use the internet to work stop working. So, when Tinder shows any error like Tinder Network connection unavailable or something else, make sure to check the internet connection at least once to be sure if the internet is creating the issue or the reason is something else.
If nothing works, uninstall Tinder app from your phone. Don’t worry removing the app won’t remove your Tinder account. Uninstall, then install again. Now, log in using your Facebook account. Sometimes, this easy fix works quite well.
Google Play services not updated
Though Google Play services are updated automatically, do check if they are updated to their latest versions because if they are not updated, then you may face issues while connecting to Tinder. In fact, most of the apps won’t work if Play services are not updated.
Tinder downloaded from third-party site
If you are unable to use Tinder properly or you get Tinder login failed, or Facebook login failed errors, there may be a chance that you have downloaded the app from a third-party site. Make sure; you always download Tinder from Google Play using this link. There is no authenticity of the APK files that you download from third-party sites. They may work fine as well but many times they create problem, so better to download from Google Play only.
Cache piled up
Sometimes Tinder app may stop working properly because of a lot of caches piled up in the memory. Go to Setting => Apps => Tinder => Storage. You will see two options, Clear Data and Clear Cache. Tap Clear Cache, and then restart the Tinder app.
