Learn How to Hack The Trial Version Software

What is a Trial Software?

Also called Trialware, Trial software are basically software that works for a limited period of time. These kinds of software work for fixed period of time before getting expired. The main concept behind these software is that the developers want that the user can test the software before actually buying the actual software. In most of the cases, trial software either works for 15 days or 30 days or offers limited features. Once they are expired, you need to either buy the software or enter a key which will activate the software for further use.

How does trial software work?

Most of the time, a trial software makes a direct entry into the Windows registry about the details on when the software was installed and what was the exact date and time of the installation. Now, whenever you launch the software, it will compare the registry details with the computer date and time. It the registry details are greater than the computer timings, the software stops working and shows as notification to buy or enter the key.

This is the simplest working procedure of a trial software which can easily be hacked by changing the date and time of the system. However, with advancement in technology and hacking skills, developers are now trying to encrypt the trial software as much as they can. In these cases, whenever a user tries to make any change in the files of the software to reset it, the software stops working itself. In highly encrypted trial software, the software creates many files at different locations and most importantly at the places which are related to Windows functioning. Now, based on this data, the software can easily detect whether there is time remaining in the trial period or not.

How to hack trial version software?

Despite high encryption of trial version software, there are ways which can be used to extend the time period. Here is a detailed guide on how to use these ways:

>> Time Stopper

It is one of the most popular software which is used to stop the time of a trial software. However, it works only if the trial software is still in the trial period.

  • Download and install the software on your system.

1

  • Open the software and you will see a dialogue box. Now, click on browse and select the exe file from your software program file.

2

  • Now, in Choose the new date option, set the date as per you need. We would suggest you to choose tomorrow as the date.
  • Just enter the desired name for your software and simply click on Create desktop shortcut. Now, you can enjoy your trial software without any problem.

There is one thing which needs to be taken care of. You will have to use the software created by Time Stopper to access the trial software. So, you need to delete the previous shortcut so that you don’t get confused.

>> Run as Date

This is also a similar tool like Time Stopper and the best part about it is that you don’t need to install it. This tool changes the date and time in the trial software only instead of changing the date and time of a complete system. It can be used to run multiple software at a same time.

  • Download the zip file of the software and extract it a new folder.
  • Browse and select the desired application path of the trial software.

3

  • Select the date and time and click on Run Button. A desktop shortcut can also be created to open the extended trial software.

Just like Time Stopper, don’t run the extended software directly. If you do so, the software will get expired instantly so, delete the previous shortcut and always use the shortcut created by the extension tool.

Final Conclusion

Trial version software are designed for a purpose in which the users are given a chance to test the software. No doubt, these software works perfectly fine but, we will suggest you to buy the genuine original version. Use these tools only when you don’t have any choice or the software is way too costly.
