Wix – Website Builder With Amazing Features

Gone are the days when you had to go to website developers for building even most basic websites. Nowadays, basic and even advanced sites you can build using Website Builders in less time and expense. All you need to do is to select the best website builder that fits your requirements.

People often ask me which is the best website builder, the discussion cannot be completed without mentioning Wix because it is one of the best website creators on the web that I know.  Wix has been improving its tools to become the best in the industry since it was founded in 2006. Until the end of 2009, Wix had only crossed 1 million users. After 11 more years of hard work, Wix has amazingly crossed 110 million users. The best part is that the 110 million users span across 190 countries, making Wix a global brand.

The reason of this huge achievement is the adaptation Wix does by launching various tools and apps to equip better its website builder with growing technology.

Wix offers free as well as paid options. In free, you can create a basic site, but if you choose a paid option, you can create e-commerce sites as well.

There are many great features of Wix that I am going to list here. So, let’s have a look at the best features.

Notable Features of Wix

  1. Drag & Drop Elements: Wix offers you easiest option to create the website pages just by dragging and dropping the elements in the page area. For example, if you need to put a text on a webpage, just drag the text widget, and write the text. If you want to place an image, drag and drop image placeholder, and place the image there.
  2. ADI: In the early days, Wix used a basic editor that was good, but Wix ADI is more advanced and smart. ADI stands for Artificial Design Intelligent. With ADI, you get great editing options. Also, while creating when you choose to create with ADI, it asks you some questions and based on that it designs a tailored website. Further, you can add, remove or edit whatever you want.
  3. Wix Video: Visual content is booming nowadays on the websites and blogs because people give preference to visual content over textual content. Wix has its own app market in which you can get great apps that you can add to your site as elements. Wix Video is one of them that allow you embed videos from YouTube, Vimeo, and Facebook. You can also sync your YouTube feed so that your video content area stays fresh by updating automatically whenever there is new video published. You can also showcase 360 videos from YouTube, Vimeo and Facebook.
Videos help increase users stay time on the site by engaging them. That is why Wix Video is one of the best features of Wix that you can use free on your site.
  4. Wix Pro Gallery: Wix has its own Gallery app that you can use on your site that you create your own customized photo gallery. Wix claims that its Pro Gallery is the most professional gallery app on the web. This offers advanced image settings that allow you to control the sharpness and quality of the images you use in the gallery. This will enable you to make the images look the way you want. It also has built-in image protection feature that you can use to safeguard your images. Needless to mention that the galleries you create with this are fully responsive. There 9 different gallery layouts so you have plenty of options to choose from for gallery’s look and feel.
  5. Wix Code: Wix Code is the most advanced feature of Wix website builder that gives the capability to set up databases, create dynamic web pages, and build forms as well.

If I start to write all the features of Wix, I will end up writing a very long blog post that may bore you, so the better way is to click here to check the full feature list of Wix.

Creating websites using Wix is very easy. You can start with a template and later you can add more apps and other stuff as per the requirement. The full process of site creation is very simple. If you still want to get the step by step guide to create a site using Wix, then you should click here.

Final Words

Without a doubt, Wix is the best website builders in my opinion. In fact, I love the concept of CMS and Website Builders because they save a lot of money that could have been spent on a site creation. If you go to a web development company and ask a quotation for building an e-commerce website. You will be surprised with the quotation because they will give you a fat cost which you can save if you build your site using Wix or any other website builder. For more customization, you can get premium plans which would still cost less than what you would have to spend to get the site built from a development company.

Therefore, choose Wix to create your website today! Without any coding or design language, you can create your site by dragging, dropping and typing.

  • Atish,

I’m curious about your thoughts on the upcoming WordPress Gutenberg update in comparison to some of the page builders out there like Wix, Beaver Builder, etc.

As someone who uses WP, I’m excited to see the capabilities of Gutenberg (although I’ve played with the current plugin and was slightly let down by it).

Since Tech Tricks World also uses WP, maybe you feel similar to me.
