Why You Should Upgrade to 4G

4G stands for 4th Generation. It is the 4th Generation of mobile networks, and it is somewhere around 5x faster than 3G.

4G has been around for a while now, but not everyone has made the shift. This is largely due to the popularity of the 3G network. Many people feel content with their current connection and do not feel as they would benefit from making the switch to 4G, particularly 4G LTE.

There are, however, a great number of entities that support this technology. Telecommunications companies and cell tower real estate companies such as www.towerpoint.com have invested in 4G and 4G LTE. There is a reason that many individuals and businesses consider this the future of the internet.

Here are some points that may make you consider upgrading to 4G or 4G LTE:

There is very little that we do not attempt to accomplish on our phones. An increased number of online services and apps have ensured that we use our mobile phones constantly throughout the day. Slow internet speeds can severely compromise these activities, particularly if they are business related. This is where 4G and 4G LTE truly shine, with their increased speed. 3G offers speeds of about 3Mbps. 4G surpasses that considerably with the standard speed of about 14Mbps. This increases significantly with 4G LTE that offers speeds up to 42Mbps. This means that you will no longer have to spend a greater amount of time waiting for data to be transferred. Images will load much faster and so will videos. This network connection will essentially change the way that you use the internet.

One of the first complaints that people had about 4G was the cost. When it was first introduced the internet connection, cost more than 3G. It has, however, lessened in price as the technology has been implemented in various devices. In certain instances, there is no discrepancy between the costs. When considering the immensely improved internet speed, there is not much contest about which connection to choose.

Added Services

The technology of 4G and 4G LTE is still transforming and progressing. This means that there are many added services that can be obtained. These cannot be found with a 3G network. An example of such a service is VoLTE. This is simply an acronym for voice over LTE. This is when calls are conducted over a 4G network as opposed to a 2G or 3G network. The improved data receiving and sending characteristics of 4G can be applied to calls as well as other internet facilities. The advantage of using VoLTE is the superior quality of the calls that you will be making. As there is a greater amount of data that can be handled by the network connection, the calls are improved significantly.

We live in a world where speed is imperative to our daily activities. If we are not matching the speed of the people around us, we quickly become irrelevant. This is something that switching to 4G can prevent. It can allow you to connect to the world as well as your other devices much faster than ever before. It will also improve the quality of your transactions and offer you many more options.

I am a great lover of faster internet connection. Not only me, in fact, everyone loves a high-speed internet because that helps to download heavy data in just a few seconds and movies in just a few minutes. I am an online marketer, and I do have to do some video conferences, remotely working on some clients’ PC and such way of work need a high-speed connection. Thus, 4G is the way to go, and I have been using it for quite a while.

I am sure you should go for 4G too.

  • Hello Atish,
All the above mentioned points are correct, but still there are some network coverage issues specially in the rural areas where even 3G is not available.

  • It’s a useful article. I believe in all of the points mentioned above. But when I use 4G it feels similar to 3G. 4G is just a little update of 3G.

  • I think 4G is better than 3G. Because, 3G speed has been limited as 4G came, meanwhile mobile networks are always offering 1Gb 4g and 1GB 3g having same price, but while if we go for 4g we get extra 1b 3g plan also.once i inquired with customer care. so, em now safe with smart 4G network and thanks atish for your tips also. 🙂

  • If you have a 3G phone and you’ve been frustrated with slow data, 4G may be the solution. On the other hand, if your phone is mostly for voice use, you have no need for 4G data. Moreover, if you live in an area that doesn’t have 4G coverage, there’s no advantage to a 4G phone.
