Top 10 Tips To Help Increase Blog Traffic

People were able to generate a hundred bucks per month through blogging, garner millions of product sales through blogging, and some even quit their jobs because of freedom and money the benefits of blogging generates. However, like all other things if you want to attain such status, you will have to put  your extra time and effort to it. Blog traffic is the most basic way to increase the popularity in a blog but is sometimes forgotten.

Here, are some ways to increase blog traffic:

1. Choose an appropriate blog name

If you are planning to target traffic from your blog to your home business, internet marketing, or affiliate marketing network then you will need a blog name that is search-able online. Most people that read blogs are either asking a solution for their problem or finding a particular product or brand. Ensure that, when making a blog name, it should be very related to the information that you are conveying. For example, petgrooming.com is better than grooming123.com, since pet and grooming are what most people will enter in search engine sites.

2. Generate a social status

Social media greatly helps in generating blog traffic. I happen to have at least 100 views per day every time I post blog updates to social media sites, and this is only in Facebook alone. Here, is how you can generate social status:

  • Sign up to social media sites like Twitter and Facebook.
  • Make friends by adding people who you think will be interested in your blog. Have a look at their interests to give you an idea.
  • Add social media button to your site and make your new blog posts send updates automatically to the social media sites.

3. Create a blog with a niche

Niche is the common topic you will post into your blog. If you make blogs for pet grooming, then pet grooming is your common niche. Stick to this niche and make posts related to it.

Keywords are the words most people will search for – thus, a way on how people will land on your blog. Put keywords in your blog often but do not overdo it to more than 4% because it can hurt your website. Its better to Do better keyword research for selecting good keywords.
