Why the need of scheduling emails?

Just imagine the impression which will be created when your mails are received by the clients in the exact same time and that too daily. For Example: You have to send a mail to a client who always waits for your mail. Just let them know that it will be received by him at exact 9.00 a.m. It will save his time which he used to spend in waiting for your mail and checking his inbox again and again.

Scheduling email will make you more reliable, professional and dependable. Also it can help those people who have client overseas and who have a different time zone. Just schedule the mail as per the time zone of your client and you are done. So scheduling email is important and effective.

Both RightInbox and Boomerang gives you the option for reminding and tracking emails. Both the apps are free for initial use. Both the apps allows you the schedule 10 mails per month. • Hi Atish,

Is giving permission to these third party tools safe? Recently there was a news of hacking millions of Gmail accounts. Though my account was safe but I’m very careful in trying any new app or tool via gmail.

    • I don’t think there is any problem. Its all done by Google API and these apps don’t have access to your password. However, there is nothing safe online!

  • It seems a useful feature in Gmail. This is the first time I’m hearing about the scheduling of mails in Gmail. It would be helpful for the business professional to send mails to their clients at exact time. Thanks for sharing this detailed post with us.

  • I don’t really see the difference between scheduling an email to be at 9 am the next day or sending it as soon as its done and having the recipient read it when they can, but it’s still a nice feature to have.

  • Thanks for this nice information Atish. I was looking since long for such an application. Besides these two, Is there any other free service that allows scheduling more than 10 emails per month? Please mention.

  • Hi Atish!

This is pretty neat! I can just imagine me scheduling an email to my boss the night before and saying I’m taking a sick day! LOL This truly can be a helpful tool, all kidding aside though. Definitely sharing this and saving to Pocket for later reference!

    Thanks Atish!

  • HI Atish,

    Informative post indeed 🙂

Yes, I’ve heard of both these apps but never really tried them because I usually write and save them as a draft in my inbox to be sent later, whenever the time is right. That is because I am always online, so it’s not a problem for me.

However, it would work well if we can set them up and forget about it, something useful, especially if you are working and don’t cannot open your email account, or if you are travelling and on vacation.

Thanks for sharing this with us. Have a nice week ahead 🙂

    • Thanks For dropping your comment here Harleena. You are right people like us who are always online don’t need these but for others this is really a great option.

  • Hi Atish,

I am using Boomerang from quite long and I am very happy to use it. As I have to deal with people from US, UK, Italy and India as well. So, its a very useful thing and scheduling the emails accordingly will surely help. Thanks, for letting about it to other members, I am sure they will love to try it.
