Yahoo Wishlist – Get Your Desired Username

Yahoo Wishlist – One latest news coming out of the kitty of Yahoo is its brand new initiative about freezing across accounts, which have been inactive for over a year now. This particular activity which has now become the talk of the town has been fondly named as the Yahoo Wishlist. The idea behind this initiative is to allow the current as well as new Yahoo users to get their hands on a username of their choice. Yahoo is planning to achieve the same by β€œgiving away the freezed Email Ids”.

Yahoo Wishlist

Β Make you Yahoo wish list by 7th August 2013 and get the email username that you always wanted!

We also get to hear about a certain association between Yahoo and Facebook, which particularly states that every time when you visit your Facebook Login Page in order to reset your password a brand new header would go ahead and remind Yahoo to check the age of your account before delivering any kind of mail to you. The header that we are talking about here is the Require-Recipient-Valid-Since header. Furthermore, if this header happens to flash Facebook’s last confirmed date, which if happens to be less thanΒ  the date on which your new Yahoo ownership has initiated, then the mail will then bounce back to Facebook.

    • Hahahaa.. Seems that people are hating Yahoo bcoz of GMail.. Even I am not using Yahoo.. Moreover I just got an email from Yahoo subject being : “We want you back” and the body had a text “Keep your account active by signing in before July 15th, 2013.

By reactivating your Yahoo! account you can experience the new Yahoo! Mail, more personalised content on Yahoo.com and so much more.

    • Hi Amit!

Yahoo messenger is a masterpiece.. Thus as a kid, I was more attracted to Yahoo for chatting.. I still remember the chatrooms at Yahoo.. Wooww! πŸ™‚ But with the time, everyone leaves chatroom and focus more on the email inbox.. And here Gmail attracted me towards it! πŸ™‚

  • The Yahoo Wishlist is a clever idea! I always get frustrated when a username I want is gone, and the owner of it hasn’t been active for years. Good move on their part.

    • Hi Kelsey! πŸ™‚

Recently I had a thought that, the biggest problem that the next generation is going to face is, finding an username! πŸ˜€ Its going to be such a painful task for sure, you hardly find a desired username!

I truly wish that Gmail should soon launch the current scheme which is adopted adopted by Yahoo – deactive the inactive accounts and launch the Gmail wishlist scheme.. And I hope that such activities are carried out every 5-7 years! πŸ™‚

  • Yahoo Wishlist is working well on my Iphone, and i am using it and getting its benefits. I also appreciate the good application provided by the Yahoo.
