Are you looking for the best camera phone in India which is priced around INR 25,000? If yes, then you have landed on the correct page! 🙂
Recently Google has launched two new phones Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P, both smartphones run the same software, but there is a difference in the hardware. Many People are still using the big hit phone from Google – Nexus 5, which was among the best smartphones for Android users till 2014. To give a successor of this phone, Google had worked in partnership with LG, and named it Google Nexus 5X!
Let’s discuss the key feature of this Nexus Phone 2015 through this post!
First Best Camera Phone with Android 6.0 (Marshmallow)
Google Nexus 5X has gained the credit of being a 1st smartphone that’s officially working on Marshmallow, which is rich in features and provides better battery preservation settings than Android Lollipop.
There exist several mobile phones with good cameras. Recently I have purchased the Nexus 5X, indeed a mobile phone with a good camera, and I am using it for a couple of weeks. Thus, I’ve decided to write a balanced review of Nexus 5X, explaining its features and limitations.
Following are my viewpoints on the different features on one of the best camera phone in India in the price range of INR 25,000 -> Google Nexus 5X
Design & Built of Google Nexus 5X
Nexus 5X has the perfect form factor; it fits perfectly in my hand! 🙂 As it is light in weight and easy to grip, it gives the great feel while holding the phone. The weight of the phone is 136grams, which is less than its rivals like Microsoft Lumia 950 (150g), Moto X Play (179g), Lenovo Vibe Shot (145g) and OnePlus 2 (175g). Its ergonomics is awesome, and it made me reveal that it has an excellent balance between the size and weight of its plastic body.
Besides, I had a good experience with the quick & precise centrally positioned fingerprint scanner that helped to unlock the device quickly. The fingerprint scanner of Nexus 5X is exactly placed where the Index finger gets on the back! 🙂 Even OnePlus 2 and Moto X Pure got fingerprint scanner, but they are not as fast & accurate as 5X’s.
However, it has no metal polish; thus you might not feel the rich look.
Full HD Display
Although like OnePlus 2 and Samsung Galaxy S6 comes with Gorilla Glass 4 to offer a better screen protection, the Nexus 5X boasts a pretty good full HD 5.2-inch screen protected by Gorilla Glass 3 with oleophobic coating to resist dust and smoke. The viewing angles of the screen are impressive, and it is perfect to use under direct sunlight and dark rooms.
Hardware & Software
With a 1.8 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 Hexa Core SoC and 2GB RAM, 5X gives a good mobile experience with no slouch. Although the competitors like Moto X Style have an advantage with 3GB RAM, I did not find any problem while multi-tasking on 5X. I tried switching over 12-15 apps one after the other, and I was using them for around 30 minutes, but Nexus 5X did not slow down at all! 🙂
To compete with smartphones like OnePlus 2, Google Nexus 5X supports NFC! 😀 But the lack of a memory card slot can be a painful thing, especially for the ones who wish to shoot 4K videos! 🙁 Thus if you’re looking to buy a Google Nexus 5X to record 4K videos, then please opt the 32 GB version.
Best Camera Phone in India @INR25,000 #Nexus5X
People always have this question while buying a phone – Which cell phone has the best camera in the range of INR ____? LG G4, iPhone 6S, and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge are the best camera phones in India, but these smartphones are heavily priced. So if your range is around INR 25,000, then Nexus 5X is indeed the best camera phone in India for the year 2015.
Google claimed that this Nexus Phone 2015 has the best camera resolution that uses a special 12.3 MP camera with large sensors, dual flash & laser autofocusing system to capture more contrast and sharper images; and with no surprise, 5X is indeed a mobile phone with good camera quality. Following are few of the pictures that I have clicked:
5X has 1.55 micron pixels on the sensor, due to which a lot of lights can be let in, because of which the images in low light are captured very nicely! 🙂 It performed well not only in good light, but also well in dim conditions as well. You might have to turn on the HDR mode while clicking in low light, to get the better quality images.
I captured several images with and without the flash of this Google phone and felt that the pictures taken without flash are much better than the ones with flash.
With Flash Without Flash
The above images are clicked on my office desk (room light conditions)
Apart from the regular clicks and Panorama, Nexus 5X also offer Photo Sphere – a 360 image! :-O
Even though the camera of 5X has good color accuracy with a lot of details, not supporting the optical image stabilization is my major gripe! 🙁 Also, it doesn’t support 240fps slow motion (it is available in 6P), but it is capable of shooting 120fps slow motion videos. So, I wouldn’t recommend 5X for the video recording freaks.
Best Front Camera Phone
We are living in a Selfie world! 😀 Thus to survive here, you need the best front camera phone. Without any doubt, I could say that Nexus 5X is the best front camera smartphone in the range of INR 25,000.
With the 5MP selfie camera of Nexus 5X, I could easily capture clean images. With the front facing camera, 5X offers 1080p video recording. Although there is no flash with the selfie camera like the Moto X Style, I still liked the selfie image quality of the Nexus 5X because of its wider view angle as I could capture more of my background. You may see the broader view of this best front camera smartphone below:
All in all, I would say that Google Nexus 5X is the cell phone with best camera resolution that provides the best quality images! 🙂 So if you want to buy the best front camera phone pricing around INR 25,000, then Google Nexus 5 should be your choice for sure!
Long Lasting Battery of the Nexus Phone 2015
Devices like Moto X Play, OnePlus 2, ASUS Zenfone 2 have much better battery than 5X that has 2700mAh non-removable battery. The battery of 5X could withstand more than a day with normal usage. Google has claimed that it charges faster, and I could reach from 0% to 100% in approximately 1hour 15 minutes. I felt quite happy with its USB C Type charge, but wireless charging was left off.
5X charger has USB type C on both ends; hence, you will have to buy a Type A cable, if you wish to connect 5X with your computer.
Audio of Nexus 5X
Although the sound of the 5X is quite loud with the single front facing speaker, it doesn’t have the stereo speakers like its rivals HTC One M9, Sony Xperia Z4 and Motorola Moto G (Moto G3 doesn’t have stereo speakers). Also, Nexus 6P has dual front-facing stereo speakers.
I admire the inclusion of LED notification at the center of the speaker grill! B-)
Gaming with Adreno 418 GPU
With the Adreno 418 GPU, I was not sure if I would be able to play all the games; however I could play the games well on 5X but the Nexus 5X got a little warm on playing Asphalt 8 (and other high-end games) for 15 minutes.
For unknown reasons, I found a little lag while playing Dragon Jump (Ketchapp), especially when I compared it with playing on iPhone 6. Dragon Jump is hardly a 13mb game, which even runs of Android 2.3; I have no idea why did it lag (a very little) while playing on 5X.
But with other games, Nexus 5X performed well. I would say it’s a decent phone for gaming.
Specific Absorption Rate (SAR)
Since a while, I have become a little health conscious! 😛 I have been considering the SAR values while purchasing the smartphones.
5X has Head SAR of 1.260 W/Kg; although this is lower than SAR of devices like Lenovo K3 Note, devices like ASUS Zenfone 2, Moto X Play and OnePlus 2 have lower SAR than Nexus 5X. So if you are the one who talks a lot on phones, then please do consider the SAR while buying the device!
If you are looking for stock Android experience, best front camera smartphone, and decent build, then you should opt Google Nexus 5X. But if you crave for a gadget with good battery, gaming performance and to store many things, it would be good to try OnePlus 2.
I’ve just shared my personal experience with Google Nexus 5X; they may differ from the opinion of other users. What do you think about this mid-range Nexus phone 2015? Is it worth to buy?
