How can a business spread the word about its offerings, whether to new or existing customers? Word of mouth is always good, and advertising does a lot, whether using traditional media or new formats. One way that I’ve found lately is creating beautiful mobile websites and apps. But not every small business owner can code, or can afford to pay someone who can. In those cases, what should she or he do? There are quite a few services popping up lately, where one can create such a site or an app without knowing how to code. One example of an app building service is Nativ.com.
Nativ is one such app builder where you can create stunning apps for iOS without any knowledge of coding. You can just drag and drop elements and choose from the available options to create an app that just works.
You can make an app for various different purposes and types. Take a look at the list given below.
What kinds of apps can Nativ make?
I was actually surprised to see so many options available at Nativ. You can just make an app in almost any category you can think of.
If you’re a blogger, you can make an app easily. Want an app for your restaurant? Easy, done!
Here is a small list of all the genres and categories you can choose from on Nativ.
More categories are coming up soon, but to be honest I can’t think of any more. The current options easily cover almost all the genres in which an app can be made.

How does the Nativ app builder work?
It’s actually pretty easy to use Nativ.
There are different subscription plans that we will talk about later. You can sign up by choosing one of the subscriptions. For starters, you can choose to have a free account in which you can make an app. It will be free for a year!
Just create a new app after you have made an account. You will be asked to choose the template.
Choose a template and click Choose Template.
After choosing the template of your choice, you can now change the design elements such as:
- Background images
You can check the look of the app by clicking Tap to play on the iPhone model on the right side of the page. After you are done with these settings, just click Add features.
Now on this page you will be able to add more features in your apps like an RSS feed, YouTube channel, Facebook page, Twitter feed, Flickr photostream, or anything from options available.
After you have set everything up, it is done. You app is now complete and you can click Finish my app button to build it. It’s as simple as that.
Pricing & Subscriptions
Nativ provides a very competitive pricing model. They are 3 plans.
You can make the app and get technical support. Right now, this plan is free for a year; after that, you pay $9/month.
Premium: Up to $60/month
To enable additional features, such as an iPad version of your app and push notification enabling, a premium subscription is available. If you choose to pay monthly you need to pay $60/month and if you pay for a year in bulk, it will cost you $48/month.
The Works: $200
If you want additional help, check out The Works package. You pay a one-time fee that starts at $200. You get all the stuff you get in Basic as well as in Premium plan, and more. You also get a custom marketing session from the team, which can be crucial if you are looking for a foolproof marketing solution for your app.
All in all, I find Nativ.com to be one of the best app builders I ever used. The ease of making the app in 3 simple steps astonishes me and the apps look stunning as well. The plans are well priced and you get your money’s worth.
