The world of internet marketing is gaining popularity on everyday basis. Everything is going online and if you see in recent years, there are many businesses went online, even nowadays students love to opt for online entrepreneurship rather than going to search for a job.
If I talk about the bloggers then their primary means of monetization is Google Adsense. Thus maximum revenue earned by them comes from Adsense.
Google Adsense is a PPC program which offers publishers to show ads on their blog and earn for every click their readers make on the ads.
To get started with this advertising program you need to have an approved adsense account. The first thing you need is a website or blog with enough content and which adhere the terms and policies of adsense. Once you have a site like this, you can apply for Adsense.
Once you get the account you can place ads on your site to earn. So basically Google takes space from you to show its advertisers’ ads on them and in return it offers you a a good percentage of the revenue.
But let me make it clear that unlike other advertising platforms, Google is very strict and if it finds you doing something which are against the policies, then it can ban your account forever.
Thus, basically you need to keep your Adsense account safe. One more thing, Even if someone do invalid activities like click bombing and all, your account might be banned thus there is a need of extra care while working with this platform. There are few important things you should keep in mind in order to keep your AdSense safe which you will read further in this post.
Things to do
First thing is to create a website with an interesting topic so that you can grab good chunk of traffic. Make sure that the niche of your website is attractive and have a high demand. For example fashion, technology, health etc. Add the most relevant content and post on regular basis. Choose the right keywords while preparing content. Search on Google keyword planner tool for low competition keywords with high search volumes.
After writing and publishing your post, make sure you promote your content on social media sites like Facebook, Google+, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn and many more. This will help grab traffic.
Avoid duplicate content on your site. Always write informative and unique content.
!More traffic more earning!
Things to keep your AdSense safe
Now Assuming you have got an AdSense account for your site, there are things you need to avoid to keep your Adsense account safe as I said earlier in this post. Now the main thing which blocks your Google AdSense account is the irrelevant/invalid clicks.
The more people click on the ads the more you earn and Google too earn this way. But when you try to become clever and start clicking on the ads on your site, Google will 100% ban your account because in such case the Advertisers who are spending money on Google advertising will be facing loss and thus they can even stop investing in Google adwords which result into a heavy loss for Google.
Thus, To make their advertisers’ money safe Google bans accounts with invalid activities. Following are the things you must avoid to keep your Google AdSense account safe.
- Make sure you are not clicking the ads yourself as Google robots can find out which clicks are the relevant ones and which are not. Also never ask your friends to do so for you.
- Do not create multiple accounts and click the ads because Google keeps an eye on your IP address. If you’ll do any such things it will block your account instantly.
- Make sure you are having only one account with your details and IP. Trying to have multiple accounts from same IP can result into ban of all of your accounts.
- Add relevant content which AdSense allows and never add the things it has already restricted such as pornography, hacking tips and so on.
- Don’t generate fake traffic to your blog/website to increase earning because it may have negative impact and account might be banned.
- Do not place your ad codes on your newly born websites. Put ads only on the sites which are having few pages and have enough content over them.
- Always be alert and proactive for your AdSense account.
- When it is not necessary do not share your URLs of all of your blogs which are having Adsense account because there are people who feel jealous at times and they start doing invalid clicks to make sure your account gets banned.
These are few short and simple rules and suggestions which you should follow to keep your AdSense account safe forever.

Why do you recommend not putting the Adsense code on new sites right away?
I`ve been doing that for a long time now and never ran into any problems whatsoever…
Its against the TOS of adsense. It can be a reason of ban. If you haven’t got any problem doing this then its your Good Luck.
X————– Update…!!!!
Its not against the adsense TOS but it is advised by them to put ads on a bit older sites.
Sorry for the mistake!!
I’ve never heard this also? Do you know what Google’s reason would be for not allowing you to put Adsense code on new sites right away?
Yes, I think Google wants to put its advertiser’s ads on the old site so that they can get clicks which might generate leads. On new site its obvious that the clicks will be less and lead conversions also less. So google does this for its adword advertiser’s benefit.
I took my adsense ads off my new sites, when do you think i should re put them up Atish?
I think When you start getting fair amount of visits then enable them. I think after 2-3 months after the site launch you should use adsense.
Do you mean when get more traffic enough? What do you mean by “fair amount”? 100 visits a day?
Fair amount means to say 200-250+ or more a day in my opinion.
I want to add some more:
* Don’t place more than three ad units per page.
* Consider adding a privacy policy on your site. The WordPress plugin ‘Easy Privacy Policy’ can do this for you.
* Avoid checking AdSense on Shared Computers and Net Cafe.
* Never disclose your CTR to any body.
* Don’t use any software for AdSense.
Maintain a safe distance between Google Ads and other images.
Thanks Naser for adding more value to the post. Thank you very very much. Keep reading and commenting.
Welcome buddy….. B-)
I’ve got one more that many ger banned fir using.
1 don’t use traffic exchange sites.
2 don’t ever take part in any form of click schemes.
Although it’s obvious that it’s a big no no, you still daily read on forums that someone got banned for it.
Regarding new sites, imo when you already have an account you can add adsense to them from day one. But are you new to it then Google wants to see better stats before they aprove you.
Thanks for your input buddy
thank for information, but your adsense account disapproved. then how to reapply and when?
If you adsense account got dissapproved then Just http://support.google.com/adsense/bin/request.py?hl=en&contact_type=appeal_form&rd=2 fill this appeal form with full details.
Will this method work Atish? One of my cousin brother’s account has been banned. Hope to restore it with this.
appeal to reinstate the account. use appeal form for this.
Don’t know if you have appealed yet, but if not then I would if you haven’t create a facebook page where if would post the new blog posts thus creating more backlinks that way. You can use twitterfeed to de the work for you. 😉
Update your fb profile with a link or two to your website, use the about textbox, it can hold 255 letters including links.
Then create a page on Google +, where you do the same thing.
When that’s done and you get a bit more traffic, then I would appeal it not before. Because it getting harder and harder to be approved by Google to have adsense ads.
Hope you get approved 😀
This is nice guide to protect adsense ads. If you can keep your adsense account safe then you should follow all the TOS of adsense and also daily monitoring of clicks is needed for better security. thanks for the post.
keeping adsense account safe is necessary because adsense is one of the best way to earn money for your great contribution to the internet. I think obeying all the TOS of adsense is good to keep the account safe.
“Do not place your ad codes on your newly born websites”
I think you will not be banned by doing this, but useless if you put adsense on a new blog with little traffic
yea you will not get banned but Its useless to put there because there must not be enough traffic.
Radhitya, recently Adsense started mass. Accounts with added website that is new and does not generate revenue may be banned.
Also if the clicks from your site doesn’t give any benefits to its adword’s advertiser then it also leads to a ban. Google will give you reason that our adword advertisers are not getting benefit from your site’s click or something like that.
Thanks Atish for having having the confidence to raise this issue even though you are a relatively new blogger. Adsense is like something out there we think we should be scared of for fear of getting banned, yet the big G obviously need the revenue to keep coming.
I think the biggest danger is to listen to those who are trying to market inferior adsense related products and methods rather than read the terms and conditions for ourselves.
Good post.
If you decided to use this opportunity, then you should do everything carefully, because it will be checked greatly by Google) And you know that there are no jokes
That’s very nice of you to share this post, because everyone of us should try to keep adsense account safe, if we are interested in earning money
One more: And If you notice any large no of clicks in adsense, then report it to adsense rather than ignoring it. Because It may be possible that someone trying to attack on your adsense.
I agree about not putting adsense ads into new sites since my friend got banned not long after he earn good money from his new site. So, I think it’s risky to put your adsense ads on your very new site. Google probably doesn’t like new sites which are in a hurry to earn money before they have quite a lot of content and visitors.
Thank You So, Much Atish Bro. I am going remember all these point’s you mentioned.
I want to ask you one thing regarding my ad-sense pin verification. In my third attempt i had upgraded my id and now, i am waiting for the reply but somehow, it’s taking too much time and then, i again applied for this but still ro-reply. Please tell what to do ?
Hello Akhilesh,
Thanks for coming by! All you can do is to wait! or you can even take help from Adsense support forums. So, Adsense didn’t reply you even once? If not contacting support will be good choice. Thanks
