  • Hi Atish,
Thank you very much for the informative post.

If one needs to learn full stack developer course (all – front end, back end, data.), what should be optimal size of the hard-disk and ram so that the desktop computer does not get hung up?
Also, please mention the type of processor (fastest available in market).

Note that, if I load graphic design software such as Adobe illustrator, Photoshop, is it going to affect the overall performance of the PC.

And, if I add video games, is it going to affect the performance?

    Kindly advise.
    Thank you.

      Hello KR,

      Thanks for coming by.

I am not sure about the developer stuff but considering running database software, .net or some other frameworks on your computer, you can get 500GB internal hard disk. It is more than enough if you don’t store so many movie, song, games files. To be on safe side, you can also think of 1TB.

For me, I have 500 GB internal hard disk and I run a lot of software like photoshop, Flash, dreamweaver and above all my laptop keeps running full day-night ( not less than 15-16 hours a day), and things are fine. I have 4GB RAM and intel i3 processor.

But since you are working on some graphic + development tools, you should go for the latest configuration as the upgraded stuff are more powerful than their earlier version.

500GB internal HDD + Intel i5 process (I trust Intel). Get As much RAM your system supports as even you will be working on multiple stuff simultaneously you won’t eat full random memory, and your computer will run smooth. If you need to store a lot of stuff, you can get one external 1TB or 2TB hard disk. simple!

As per my knowledge, don’t keep so much data in the drive in which your OS is installed.

If you play heavy games, it does affect system performance while it is running but the configuration I have suggested can manage easily. You can get the best graphic card for your computer if you are an avid gamer => https://www.techtricksworld.com/10-best-graphic-cards-for-your-computer-system/

P.S. I may not be exact as different users need different system configuration.

      Thanks!
