6 Free Tools to Create Infographics

Visual content is gaining more popularity because they look attractive, and it takes lesser time to understand them than what it takes to read textual content. Due to which infographics came into use, and it has become one of the best content strategies now.

Earlier there was only one way to get an infographic designed for you, and that was hiring a professional graphic designer. But in the age of fast moving technology DIY tools are being made by experts that give you an ease of creating something on your own. Same is with infographics; there are so many free and paid tools available online to create beautiful looking infographics.

6 Free Tools to Create Infographics

Just to mention that creating and submitting infographics might be a great way to build backlinks as well that you can read in my blog post about link building strategy.

Now, I am going to share 6 free tools to create beautiful infographics that look professional.

Below is list of those Free tools to create infographics:

1. Piktochart

Piktochart is the first infographic tool I have come across. I have created a few ones for testing, and I found this tool very handy. You don’t need to be a designer or very creative to work with it. This is so simple that anyone can use it to make his textual content even more interesting by turning into the graphics.

There are free readymade templates that you can select and edit to create your infographic without having any design skills.

You can easily customize the colors, fonts, upload your own shapes and images with its DIY editor.

It has both free and premium plans that you can select as per your requirements and budget.

2. Visme.co

The second in the list of infographic creation tools is, Visme. Apart from infographics, it helps you create reports, product demos, presentations, web banners, resumes, and many more.

100+ beautiful fonts, millions of free images from Flickr to use in projects, and thousands of icons & graphs make this tool very efficient and handy that anyone can use to create awesome graphics.

Select a template and start editing it as per your requirement. A Simple infographic may not take more than 15-20 minutes of yours because there is everything done already, you just replace the text, upload your images or change some graphics and your infographic is ready. If you want to make a complex one, then it may take some time, but still that time taken will be very less as compared to what it takes to design the same in Photoshop or Illustrator.

One of the best things is you can embed YouTube videos directly into the design. It has both free and premium plans that you can select as per the requirements.

3. Easel.ly

Unlike the tools mentioned above that offer many other design projects as well, Easel.ly mainly focuses on infographics. You don’t get a good how-to introduction as most of the DIY tools do have. So, sign up and you will directly go to create your infographic without any guidance.

Easel.ly is useful if you want to create simple infographics. It is not so efficient to create powerful and sophisticated ones. However, it has some cool, simple templates that you can use to promote your blog posts on social media. It has a very limited collection of templates and other stuff.

It is free!

  • Hi Atish,

Thanks for putting together this list of free tools to make infographics. It sure is a world of images these days and it is so important to put on our blogs to share with others. People just love infographics and so do I.

I’ve played around with Piktochart and Canva. I’m getting there lol. I do find making my own infographics pretty hard to do. I write down what I want to point out, then go to the templates, and never get it together. I need more practice!

This is such a valuable list, You know I’m going to share it!
