5 Cool and Amazing Search Engines

Search Engines are the web based tools that help you find the information which are available on the Internet. We all know Google, Bing and Yahoo are the most famous search engines, among of these Google is leading ahead of all of this.

Moreover, there are 100’s of other search engines as well like ask, blekko, duckduckgo and many more but today I want to share 5 search engines which I have found while browsing the web which you might not know but should know.

Here are those 5 search engines:

A very simple search engine with a very simple and user friendly interface. It shows you the web results against your queries as well as social media results. You can also search images on this search engine.

2. Smash Fuse

Smashfuse is a true social media search engine. It shows results from almost all social media in the form images but when you click the results it may take you to webpage, image, tweets and videos.

3. Topsy

Topsy is a social media search engines and especially designated for Twitter. Even it is a certified partner of twitter and it shows results in which those search queries are mentioned somewhere. It makes products for search, analytics and draws insights from conversations and trends on the public social websites like Twitter and Google+.

Social Mention is a search engine which is somewhat like Topsy but it gives depth insights about the search queries by providing the results and analytics which shows how frequent users search that particular query and what are their sentiment towards it.

Even if you have redesigned your website you can use Wayback Machine to see the old look. This tool has helped me many times at my work. Thanks to this!

Thanks for sharing the details of these amazing search engines. As you said, Google is the search engine leader and preferred by most of the people. I know Topsy but unaware of the other search engines which you’ve listed here, will check them.

    • Thanks Nirmal for reading the post and taking time to comment! Search engines are very useful for web users because these helps us find the info. Thanks for sharing the post.

  • I was expecting duckduckgo in the list but actually it made it to the place above the list! Just after reading this post I tried out Smashfuse. It was really nice and effective. Especially for the fact that it searches social media making it something unique.

I have tried WayBack Machine some time back too. I used it to find the changes in Google and Facebook home pages for an article.

Thanks for the information about all these search engines Atish bhaiya.

    • Duckduck is famous search engine bro. I have made a list of SEs which are not famous but we should know about these. Wayback machine is one engine which I have been using since 2011.

Thanks for coming by Mahaveer. Keep coming.

  • Apart from submitting urls to these other search engines, I don’t think they play any significant role in searches. Google and Bing are the ultimate search engines. Others retrieve the search they make from the top ones!

I have left this comment in kingged.com – the content syndication and social marketing platform for Internet marketers, where this post was shared.
