Competition in every business is so tough these days, that it’s easy to see how stress can become a serious issue. Heavy competition and heavy work loads lead to pressure on your mind, causing Stress and as most of us know, according to medical research too much Stress can be dangerous for your health.

So what you need to think about is how to reduce stress from your mind, in order to stay fit & healthy forever. Of course there are several things you can do to overcome stress, such as taking a break from your busy work schedule, going travelling (in the hills or your native village), eating an awful lot of tablets (– not recommended!) etc.

But the problem comes when you want to take a break but your work pressures and business commitments don’t let you. As taking lots of tablets can have several (unwanted) side effects, how can you get rid of stress under these circumstances?

I probably have an answer which could be very helpful. Yes, I have a better remedy for such condition. Are you wondering how can I suggest a remedy even though I am not a doctor?


Well don’t worry I am not going to suggest any medical prescriptions or extended holiday plans. I am going to recommend something which can be done from the comfort of your own home. Still wondering about what I am going to suggest? 


Fine, suspense is over now!. The remedy I am talking about is nothing but Blogging. Yes you heard right, blogging is a proven way to reduce your stress at your comfort. I can say this because it is working for me since long.

Stress free zone : Blogging

You must have felt whenever you are worried, tensed or stressed you need someone who can listen to you. If no one is there then the situation can be worse. It happened with me so many times and I love to share my thoughts with someone who can patiently listen to me but it’s hard to get someone every time. Hence I would suggest whatever you feel while you are stressed by something just write down as a blog post, publish it and ask suggestions from your readers via comment.

However, If you don’t want to share your problems publicly then don’t do it but still I would say just start writing something. It can be your past memories, your experience about life or anything. Publish it on your blog and when you get responses and appreciations from your readers believe me all of your stress will fly into air.

Even I am not blogging about my personal problems and stresses; I found Blogging is the best way to reduce my stress quickly and comfortably. Sometimes I return from office in a bad mood because of argument with boss or team members but as soon as I start the blogging stuffs like reading, commenting or writing a blog post I forget all of those things which just had happened few hours ago at office.

Apart from this, I have some serious health issues and hence according to people I am supposed to be stressed about that and even a number of people asked me many times how can you be so tension free? You don’t have any fear in mind because of your health issues?
I just ignore these questions as If I start thinking on these I will be stressed for sure. But being a human I can feel it sometimes but as I sit to do my blogging stuffs I forget all in minutes. All I think is what should I write now on my blog?

Apart from my experiences I would like to mention the latest experience of my friend Zainil. He is suffering from a wound in his leg which doesn’t let him sit for long but as soon as he sits to do the daily blogging stuffs he automatically forgets about the wound and pain.

Hence I can say that its working for me and even for my friend cum blogging partner Zainil. I cannot say that it will surely work for your but I would like to suggest to give it a try.

        Blogging can be liken to a pain and stress removal from our body, but at times, it can be liken to a stressful act as well.

        In my own case, when I have too many things to do with little time; writing for all my websites, commenting on other reliable websites, guest posting and replying over hundred emails at the same time, I can say blogging add more to my stress 🙂

          I agree with you Olawale but I would again say that I am talking about blogging as hobby. If you take it as a hobby it will surely reduce your stress but if you do it as business then I don’t think it can help much. Because it will be a full time business.

    Yes, it does. It acts as a time passer as well as a stress reducer for me. Since I’m too much busy with my studies these days, I’ve arranged some permanent authors for my tech blog. But I do write during weekends, it’s just like an addiction :).

Yes, if no one is there to share our ideas and feelings then it becomes hard and finally lead to stress. If stress is involved in health, it would lead to dangerous health issues in the near future.     We do blogging by own choice. For example: If someone is interested in technology then he/she launch tech blog; that’s why, we reduce stress by doing our work of choice not by work of force.

    Totally agree with you.

    I start writing and all the present thoughts disappear. All the stress and the frustration with others goes away. Even if I am writing about them frustrating me. It is all because you can not hold two thoughts at the same time. You are thinking about the writing and therefore can’t concentrate on the stress or frustration.

    If we could work wonders all the time like this, we would have a lot less stress to deal with. May be when someone is causing us a great deal of stress, we need to try really hard to concentrate on something else.

    I think we all need to laugh more, it is a great healer. But I know that bosses can be a real stress maker, worked for one that was a nightmare.

    Hmm…… I think it all depends. I’d say blogging can reduce stress if you really enjoy it, but it might also increase stress if it’s a business venture and includes pressure to meet deadlines etc.

    I’ll admit I got a bit stressed the other week because I suddenly had an unexpected flurry of comments on my blog, which was lovely, but I couldn’t see how I was going to find the time to respond properly and visit the sites of the people who’d left comments, which I always try to do.

    I think a lot of bloggers also get stressed about the pressure to keep creating tons of content.

    At the times when you’re just absorbed in what you’re doing and not worrying about meeting deadlines, then I’d agree it can be a stress-busting activity – as with so many things in life, it has the potential to create or relieve stress, depending on your personal circumstances and reactions,

    When I’m blogging or even commenting on other people’s posts I’m thinking about. Whatever I would have been stressed about is definitely at the very back of my mind. I think writing is a refreshing way of getting rid of all that mess.

    Hi Atish,

    That’s a great post with different opinions. Some agree that blogging helps with the stress, others disagree and think it is adds to the stress.

    From my experience so far, since I just started blogging 2 months ago only, I find it sometimes stressful if I am busy and I have to meet a deadline for my blogging schedule and other times when my post is ready and I don’t have a lot to do in the other areas of my life, I find it comforting and enjoyable. I think it all depends on the circumstances of the blogger as well.

    There are times when blogging can help me to relax. Mainly if I’m sharing some kind of personal development techniques. When I am not relaxed and stress free is if I’m having to do backlinking and some other tedious tasks. That stuff gets super annoying.

    The good thing about blogging is it allows us to forget about the every day worries for a few minutes…as long as were not blogging about those 😉

    Blogging can be great outlet for some people. For me it causes more stress. The time to fit it in and to think of topics, the proofreading, sending it out to sites etc. Great article on this subject matter. Everyone is different. I think its great to share experience and information. For those that are passionate about writing this would reduce stress for them and for others its a chore lol.

    I agree with your point that if we r feeling alone or we don’t have anyone with us to share our problem or experiences then writing is best way to express our feeling and it really helps to reduce our stress…

    For me, yes, blogging does reduce stress because I love to write and I cannot get tired of writing fresh content for the blog. Blogging or say article writing is a passion for some and only a source of earning income for others. I belong to the first category and thus it does reduce my tension and stress.

    With blogging you can write anything, for instance, you can write or blog on wide variety of subjects. Favorite hobby or cause, blog about a group you belong to or travels you’ve taken or if you prefer. You can just blog about life in general.     Blogging IS a stress buster, provided it’s done within limits. 🙂

    There was a time long back when I was taking blogging rather seriously. It took over most of my time and being a professional writer and a Mom too, my priorities were shifting to blogging more than to my writing projects and family.

    Yes, it does affect a working Mom and the other work alongside too. It then starts causing more of stress than relieving the stress. But if done for the joy of blogging, or when you want to share your thoughts, feelings, or ideas with your readers – it is a stress reliever.

    I love the interaction and comments that I get at my blog and it just lightens me up and makes my day too! However, I’ve now started keeping away time for doing things that require my attention first, and then shifting to other things.

    Depends upon the blogger’s attitude.
    If u dont love what you are doing, anything can cause u stress.
    But if u r pursusing ur cause with passion and desire, the most boring of jobs can seem interesting and a lot of fun.
    I love what I do and so, blogging is the biggest stress buster for me.

When I have started blogging I wasn’t aware that It can be a source of earnings but later I started earning money but still I love blogging no matter if I don’t earn even a single rupee.     You are absolutely right Atish…… blogging works really great when it comes to relieve stress.
    I enjoyed my readers comment and feedback and it help me to reduce my stress even after completing an article we feel so much energetic and full of life like we have won world Cup.

    I agree with Rakesh that blogging doesn’t provide solution to problem but it help us to divert our mind from problem for some time and help us to refresh our mind and a refresh mind can find the solution more quickly and efficiently.

    Nice post Atish. You are pretty right that blogging is best way to reduce the stress. But Unfortunately it happened totally opposite to me. (I might be the only exception to this). 🙂

    The reasons I figured out few months ago and want to share it with newbies so they can learn from it.

    Firstly the reason I started the blogging like other was MONEY. But my mistake was that I had no patient. For first 2,3 months I wrote 40, 50 posts per month and when seen no outcome so I quitted.

    Secondly I totally misunderstood the concept of blogging in the earlier stages. I thought that I will write content and people will come from other plannet (:D) click on ads and I will earn money. I never thought that blogging is all about creating value for the visitors.

    Third I took to many advices, some bloggers were saying do this some where saying do that. So the result was very poor.


    But with time I learned the trick and now I gonna do blogging that will not create stress but will be a source of relaxation.

    For me I think blogging adds stress lol. I like to blog and share information with others, even tho it adds stress I overlook it because its something I like to do. Sometimes when I’m stressed out with other things I turn to my blogs as a way to divert my attention to something else. It helps ease out that other stress.

    If none of that works out then I throw on some workout clothes and sweat out the stress 🙂

    Thanks for sharing this wonderful post on & also here on your blog. You have really said it all but to be straight from my own opinion “BLOGGING DO REDUCE STRESS BUT NOT IN ALL CASES”.

    The blogosphere is now competitive so most bloggers needs to work very hard and smart in order to be authority. I have seen a blogging friend who blog to the extent of losing efficiency.

    I spend over 10+ hours on PC every day, here it is not a case of stress but a health issue. The case study of your friend is a great one but i don’t think it will work for everyone.
