Website hacking is being done by nasty hackers more frequently nowadays. Getting your website hacked is the biggest nightmare because it’s like someone getting your property stolen by someone. Your loss can be little or big depending on your website’s type and business.

So security of your website should be the biggest priority. Defencely is a Security company that offers security solutions to cloud based websites and applications.

There are many online security scanners available on internet but Defencely is not a scanner at all rather it is group of security experts who are having 10+ years experience in this field. Your website gets analysed with these experts for any kind of vulnerability. They fix all the vulnerability and other security issues of your website in order to keep your website safe from hackers.

Defencely.com is the official website of this company where you can sign up and get started with this. You can visit this link to know the plans and pricing. This is best suited to small business, e-commerce portals, Multi sites and enterprise. The way they work has been displayed well in this graphic:

This particular company is so confident about their services that it promises to pay for its customer’s subscription if there gets any hacking activity on your website.

defencely promise

The company was founded by Ritesh Sarvaiya who once was a news paper seller. It’s amazing that a newspaper seller is now a CEO of a globally recognised cloud security Firm.  I have a read a lot about him on many blogs but the first ever article I read about him was published on digitalgyd – blog by Swadhin Aggrawal. You can follow the link to read more about him.

Let me describe few great features of Defencely:

Clean and User Friendly dashboard

Once you sign up with Defencely, you are given a dashboard which is neat, clean and uncluttered. It is free from the geeky terms so that a non-tech guy can also use it effectively.

It’s the dashboard where all the action happens and you are also informed about all the issues and flaws in your website.

Actionable Reports

You are given a list of all flaws and fixes which need to be fixed in order to keep the website safe from hackers. Even if you are not a techie, you can easily understand everything by reading the reports. The security team is always there to walk you through the steps to fix the flaws on your website.

Limit of Page Scan

Vulnerability can happen anywhere thus Defencely doesn’t limit the number of page scan and helps you protect the entire website. You can scan unlimited number of pages of your website.

Easy-to-Follow Guides:

As discussed above that you get a list of flaws to be fixed to make your website stay safe. But what next? How you would fix those issues?

Don’t worry, it also offers you easy to follow guides which help you fix them easily.

Vulnerability Scan

Defencely’s proactive vulnerability scanning helps your website shielded from a number of security holes. Vulnerabilities can be small or big so it’s a good choice to keep scanning the website at regular intervals.

0 Day Scanning

0 Day Attacks are inherent flaws or vulnerabilities within a system from the moment it’s launched. Whether you use basic CMS like wordpress, Joomla or complex ones like Ruby on rails, Drupal etc. Protecting your website from 0 day attacks is very important.

Zero False Positives

False Positives are web scripts, account details and different common issues that may look like security threats on the surface, but are actually benign. They can cause unnecessary panic; cost and time spent rushing to solve a problem that doesn’t exist.

Although Defencely has an automated scanning system in place to detect the most common, telltale signs of an intrusion, it doesn’t rely on it completely.

Final Words

Defencely is an awesome service offered by Ritesh Sarviaya which I would like to recommend to small and big business owners because internet is not safe at all thus keeping an eye over even small flaws, security holes and vulnerability of your website is the foremost duty.

I do have a managed hosting site, but as I put more sites up, I will keep this in mind. It has many great features to protect a site, especially if it is an ecommerce one, which is something I will be doing in the future.
