Hi Ravi,
Some hosting providers like HostGator do offer shared SSL with their plans at some extra charge. But I don’t think it is necessary for blogs.

Hi Naser,
I’ve seen usage of SSL almost on every website where financial transactions happen and where needed
Yet I’ve heard of VeriSign and GoDaddy, as the trusted SSL certificate providers.
Mmm… Thawte is sounds familiar. But never heard of GeoTrust though. Do you have any information that would convince GeoTrust as a popular or trusted SSL certificate provider?
Cheers…

Geotrust offers 30 days free trail period without any hidden charges. So you can try it out and if you are not satisfied, they will refund your money.
And about the trust, here is an article about Geotrust:

Thanks for leaving a comment Joe
ssl certificate is very necessary for a website this is some helpful to buy its provide security thanks for sharing,.
Strictly for security reasons, the value of an SSL certificate cannot be understated, especially for sites which offer goods and services. For the average blogger, I wouldn’t fork out the extra dollars.

You are right Kapil, personal blogs do not need SSL certificates but if you are dealing with customers which require to enter payment information, an SSL certificate is must.
SSL certificate provides a security cover from malicious programs which cannot be overlooked. Be it a website or personal blog, it is worth spending few extra bugs to keep every thing safe and secure in cyber world.
If one is running an eCommerce business, it is very important to have an efficient and effective SSL certificate to keep all the financial data safe and secure. Any loop holes in this area can run you into great financial losses and may also lead to shutdown of the website.
