Facebook has turned 9 today – Its a party time at Facebook Inc. ! 
Facemash to Facebook :- Facemash which was shut by Harvard in 2003, was re-launched by Zuck in 2004, with the name TheFacebook. And then in August 2005, TheFacebook was renamed to Facebook. Within no time, the project of Mark Zuckerberg turned into a huge success. The 1st article ever about Facebook was published in Harvard Commission was published when FB was 5 days old, when it had just 650 subscribers. And the number of subscribers shooted-up to 4300 within 2 weeks!

Originally Mark Zuckerberg, Eduardo Saverin, Andrew McCollum, Dustin Moskovitz and Chris Hughes were the founders of. Then in 2007, considering the enormous growth potential of FB, the OS King Microsoft purchased 1.6% stake in Facebook for $240 million! 
Then it was also heard that the search engine King Google was interested in buying stake in Facebook, but no further purchase news were heard. Till May 2012, Facebook was not listed, thus Google was surely not able to purchase any stake in Facebook. But then on 18th May, 2012, Facebook was listed at Nasdaq; so now Search Engine King can purchase the shares of Social Media King! 
On 1st February 2013, Facebook filed form 10K on SEC where it mentioned that, it has over 1.06 billion users! But I would say that, Facebook deserves such a dense population. Facebook has reached this height because it is indeed super cool! It has been regularly coming up with new and amazing features. Recently Facebook has come up with Facebook Graphs, before that Facebook started Gift A Friend service, before that I brought a new photo look & the updates are never ending! Because FB is soo kewl, my day starts and ends with FB!
Further to hype up my favorite social network, I would like to mention the fact that, from February 2009, the social network king has witnessed 1.13 trillion likes, 219 billion photo uploads & 17 billion location tagged pictures! Long Live Facebook!

Well, I had no internet connection before that 
lol…
There were some predictions that Facebook era will be over in 2020. I still doubt that but yet we don’t know as any other hidden social platform can bloom in the meantime.
However Facebook is taking some strategies to spread it all over on the web but some actions are still doubtful. You know, Graph search and privacy crisis.
It’s no easy to keep trust of billions and Facebook has to take the risk
I believe Facebook would be the people’s platform than the marketers.

Ah yes…Facebook turned 9, though it seems just like yesterday that it came into light. I guess with so many users and more adding up each day, it surely has a waste reach. Besides anything else, it helps us all keep in touch with each other, more so when we are all placed at such distances.

Don’t worry, even Stoogles will reach such heights very soon I’m sure. Though I really don’t worry much about ranks etc, as they change so often but as you asked, mine went to PR3 a few months back and I’m happy with that.
