How To Get Indexed Inside 24 hours

Whether you’re a newbie looking to kick off your blogging career or an expert within a niche looking to express your view, you need viewers to read your content fast! The concept of indexing should be familiar to most of you and trust me, if you don’t index correctly; the content you produce might not appear on search engines for over a week! No one enjoys stale content, which is why I’ll familiarize you with my 6 strategies which will guarantee your site gets indexed within 24 hours.

Register for Google Webmaster Tools

If you haven’t heard of Google Webmaster Tools, please sign up here. Within Webmaster tools there is an option fetch as Google bot” which will allow you to crawl your website with Google’s own bot. Once you have fetched your page, you will have the opportunity to submit it to Google’s index. Although not the easiest method, I recommend submitting single URL’s for faster processing as the ‘URL and all it’s linked pages takes a longer time to kick in,

Add a sitemap

A sitemap is an index page of your website which is critical as it enables the search engines to easily crawl your website and all the pages which are associated with it. In essence, if you have a sitemap you get indexed and appear in search engines quicker. The easiest way to build a sitemap is by using Google’s Webmaster tools. Once you set up the sitemap, publish it within Google’s Webmaster Tools and don’t forget Bing Webmaster Toolbox plus Yahoo Site Explorer.

Tip: If you are operating on WordPress, I would recommend installing the Google XML Sitemaps plugin which automatically generates your sitemap and publishes to the various search engines.

Ping your site

Ping is the protocol of notifying the search engines when there has been an update to your website. Pinging ensures that search engine spiders crawl your blog and index your content quickly.
Get Indexed

When you publish content via a post or article, this will automatically ping the search engines. Despite this automation, I still prefer to ping the search engines through various apps and websites. My preferred app is BlogPingy and for web-services I always rely on Pingo-Matic. There are others such as OctoFinder and FeedAdage and I would recommend trying the different platforms.

Social Media Channels

Social media is not a fad but a great way to obtain quick links by creating social networking profiles which link to your website. The fact is crawlers will find a way to your site via links so I encourage you to establish a presence on Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn, GooglePlus and Youtube. The hassle is signing up to the various social networking sites, however once that is out of the way it is very easy to gain links as these platforms are packed with active users.

Tip: I strongly recommend establishing a Google+ account especially because of Google’s Authorship which will not only index you faster but also give you preference over bloggers who neglect this feature.

Don’t forget “Offline” content

To facilitate you’re the speediness of your content being ranked, it is mandatory that you obtain more natural links to your site via offline content. By offline content I’m specifically referring to guest posting on quality sites, submitting your content to top article directories and press releasing (choose a service which includes SEO optimization). At no point should you resort to cheap content from cheap sites because none of the search engines will show you love.

List yourself on blog directories

This is sometimes the forgotten step for most bloggers but the process is made a whole lot easier with TopRank. TopRank has numerous websites allowing you to publish your blog and even RSS feed to. The most popular blog directory which comes to mind is Technorati, however once you have a solid amount of information you should check out Alltop.

If you follow these 5 strategies, you’ll start to see gradual traffic from all the search engines but more importantly, your new content will start to index quicker once the sitemap is functional. Each time you post a new article, you should tweet it, post it on Facebook and LinkedIn and definitely update it on Google+.

Goodluck to your blogging success!

If your post doesn’t get indexed in Google then your post cannot be found in Search pages. Hence you will not be getting organic traffic . Thats why pages need to be indexed in Search engines.

  8. Kapil says:

Rahul – exactly what Atish said. So rather than hitting the post button and sitting back, you could look to apply the points made in the article
To kickstart the indexing process otherwise it could take days or longer before your result appears on Google, Yahoo egc
