Love it or hate it, the mobile phone trade is quite possibly one of the fastest-growing industries in the world today with tech giants like HTC, Apple, Nokia and Samsung leading the pack in terms of both sales and reputation among consumers. But for all the communication benefits that they’ve provided, the surplus of mobile phones has created a whole new problem. As new models of handsets are created to a seemingly insatiable market, so it has left an astonishing amount of devices by the wayside. And it has succeeded in turning us into a wasteful society. Recent reports show that residents in the United Kingdom have, on their own, contributed to over 60 million handsets lying around unused and discarded, to be replaced by updated, more advanced models. In place of throwing out your old device in the garbage, think about discarding of your handset in a way that profits both you and the environment: recycling. You will earn a refund on a costly gadget while contributing to a cleaner planet.
Who is Involved in Recycling?
Visiting the CompareMyMobile website will take the hassle out of the recycling process for you. Fully independent and objective, the site is the most trusted site in the United Kingdom for honest comparison of all the mobile phone recycling avenues available to consumers with excess gadgets at their disposal. Years of industry experience allow the site to provide a portal for users to view the best deals available to them on their unused gadgets.
Consumers can also read through reviews by fellow buyers who have history with the companies in question. Once the offer is accepted, the recycling process begins as the user sends off the gadget to the company. All saved information is removed from the handset by way of memory cards and hard drives – including banking details and passwords that could identify you as a past owner. The company essentially restores the handset to its pre-sale state by returning it to its factory settings.

As you start off your recycling journey with CompareMyMoble.com, you will be relieved of the stress and burden that goes along with starting from scratch. Naturally, not everyone is a professional when it comes to recycling and so you are guided through the process with the website doing the hard work for you. This includes sifting through offers to present you with the best deals available for your specific gadgets. The website has dedicated standards which companies need to live up to before they can be indexed. Should the company’s standards slip, they are removed from the website’s list of service providers.
As a consumer, you will then only be dealing with reputable, trustworthy companies. For you to receive the highest rate from recycling companies, it is vital that you ensure that your devices are in proper working order with little aesthetic damage. You will need to provide accurate, honest information as to the history and condition of your handset. On receipt of the gadgets, the company will check the condition against the information that you supplied to them. Make sure, for example, that the handset has a perfectly working battery that is able to be charged and that the phone can switch on and off without hassle. In addition, the handset cannot have suffered from any type of water damage.
While recycling companies will also accept your non-working handsets, they will pay you a much smaller price for these. And as with all companies, there are a number of different payment methods available. Some companies may differ on the number of options available but generally you will have a choice between the following: You may receive your payment by way of a cheque that is mailed to you, the option of shopping vouchers to be used at online stores or similar websites, payment into you PayPal account, or a BACS bank transfer which is deposited directly into your bank account. If you have read through all this information and would like to recycle your old, unwanted handsets, go to CompareMyMobile.com’s website. Start the process by searching for your devices into the website and see what options are available to you. Not only will you be earning a welcome sum of money, but you will simultaneously be helping to preserve the health of the planet.

I’d not really recycled mobile phones until my wife and I upgraded our iPhones.
Since then we’ve recycled all of our phones. It certainly pays to shop around though.
If there is any damage to your phone in particular check out the small print in the offer you get from the recycling company.
We were given a quote which was not honoured and requested the phone back. We then tried a different company and got much more money for a slightly damaged phone.

I think it’s not only in UK that gadgets are overflowing. Japan, Canada and US to mention a few are also experiencing the same situation. As you have mentioned, Comparemymobile.com is such a great help to lessen garbage or waste. I think battery which contains harmful chemicals, if not disposed properly can harm our environment.
Thanks for bringing this topic up so people may be aware about this kind of gadget recycling.
I think that e-waste in general is a huge deal that isn’t really talked about as often as it should. Gadget recycling businesses provide a great service to our planet by prolonging the build up of e-waste, as well as giving us the incentive to recycle our outdated devices. Technology these days becomes obsolete so rapidly that us as average consumers can’t afford to keep up. I own a company that provides replacement parts for smartphones and tablets and we encourage people to repair their broken devices. Personally I like to think we also help the cause by prolonging our ever growing rate of e-waste.
Is it really helpful..? I am so happy to getting this site its..awesum in all ways..nice
