Nokia Finally announced its windows phone 8 powered cell phone Lumia 920at the manufacturer’s event In New York today. This phone is said to be the successor of Nokia Lumia 900. It is likely to be available in the 4th quarter of this year 2012.
The Lumia 920 has same form factor as Lumia 900. It is very light weighted phone which is easier to hold in hand.
Nokia Lumia 920 works in 2G, 3G and 4G LTE networks. The cell phone has the dimensions 130.3 x 70.8 x10.7 mm with 185 grams of weight. Its not to light but if it comes to a smartphone then weight is fine and its good to hold this phone in hand.
Its 4.5 Inches big capacitive touchscreen display has the resolution 720×1280 pixels with 16M colors and multitouch feature. The display screen has the Cornia gorilla glass protection. The display is High Definition.
It has good speed as it works at 42MBPS(HSDPA) and 5.76 MBPS(HSUPA). It supports GPRS and EDGE which helps it for better internet connectivity with good speed. It also has WLAN, Bluetooth, USB and NFC features enabled in it.
One of the main attraction of this phone is its camera which is built upon the PureView technology. It is 8 mega pixels and 3264 x 2448 pixels in resolution. The lenses of this camera is of good quality Carl Ziess optics. It has the features such as autofocus, LED flash, image stabilization and geo tagging. There is a 1 mega pixels front facing camera too which can be used for video calling.
The camera is helpful recording clear videos too at 1080p@30fps
As I said in the start that it is a windows 8 phone which means it runs on windows mobile 8 Operating system and this is powered by 1.5 GHz krait Dual core processor. Like all other cell phones it has also so many other features such as GPS, HTML5 Browser, sensors like gyro, accelerometer, proximity and compass etc. There is no expandable memory slot in this phone but it has 32 GB internal memory with 1GB RAM
Nokia Lumia 920 comes in 4 colors:- Black, Grey, Red and Yellow. For playing audio and video there are audio/video players which can play a wide range of audio/video formats and for better music experience there is 3.5 mm jack is available so that we can plug our speaker to the phone and enjoy music.
This phone is not having FM radio which is a drawback because Now days everyone loves to read FM while travelling or driving car.
Battery Li-Ion 2000 mAh capacity is fitted in this phone to give a better user experience. It can give back up around 400 hours in stand by mode both in 2g and 3G networks, 17 hours(2G) & 10 hours(3G) in talk time mode and 67 hours in music play mode.
The Nokia Lumia 920’s Price has not been declared yet. So we should have to wait for this.
I think it is really an awesome smartphone launched by nokia it will beat some Samsung Smartphones easily but not at all

Surprised to read there is no radio in it as radio is a good medium of entertainment, you can enjoy a variety of songs randomly if you are not willing to listen to the songs you already had heard tons of time.

I’m a huge fan of Nokia’s Windows devices, been hearing about the rumours about this phone for months now. Windows 8 is gonna bring some serious punch into the device, we have our hopes high about this new OS.
One thing I would like to ask you is about the camera. As you said here, it is to be a Pureview branded camera. My initial thought was that it would be a highly sophisticated sensor like that in Nokia 808 (41 MP!!) Any ideas why it didn’t catch on in the newer devices? Lets face it! Every new smartphone boasts an 8MP+ sensor.
Rethinking whether to buy this phone (sigh)!

Nokia provides the best services for mobiles. This brand is so good and these mobiles are good enough to use with more features and compatibility.

Nokia provides the best service. Infact today there is a big competition b/w Nokia and Samsung. Samsung mobiles are on a great demand. Except all this Nokia products are fabulous.

If it fits for your requirement then go for it.
This smartphone still has a good specs amongst others, but lacking with FM feature seems to have a huge impact on the market as many phone users would love to listen FM stations while on the go. I think this is one of their drawback of their latest smartphones on the market.
Personally I did not like Nokia Lumia very much and neither get good reviews about the old one and because of that I hardly have any expections with this new version. However the one thing that interests me is the wireless charging feature that you have mentioned in this post. I would prefer a Sony handset for good camera instead of Nokia.

Hi hopefully the lumia 920 will see the resurgence of Nokia. Because lets be honest they were on the slippery slope to oblivion. But this new phone looks awesome. Using there own platform is shrill A big gamble gamble. With android and apple being such big players. Everyone used to own a Nokia. Now I don’t know any body with a new one.
