Now Google and Samsung have come together to bring up the 1st Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich super phone. Ice CreamSandwich is a unified mobile OS developed by Google, which has considered the features of Honeycomb. This OS will run across the smart phones as well as tablets. Thus now application developers will be getting a new open source API’s to make their apps which will be compatible on smart phones and tablets! :-)
Coming back to Samsung’s Nexus Prime, it is expected to launch on Oct 11th at the Unpacked Event at CTIA inSan Diego.
Specification’s of Nexus Prime.
Display: 4.65 inches display with 16 million colors. Its touch screen is with 720×1280 pixels.
Camera: 8 MP with auto focus and LED flash. The snaps of 3264×2448 pixels have the option of face detection. Full HD i.e. 1080p videos can be captured.
Operating System: Android OS, v4. Ice Cream Sandwich
CPU: Dual core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A9 CPU.
Battery: Li-Ion 2050 mAh.
Connectivity: GPRS, EDGE, 3G, WLAN, Bluetooth and USB.
Sound Enhancements: 3.5 mm jack, loud speaker and alert types such as mp3 and wav ringtones.
Besides the above there are many more features in this phone, few of them being,
- MP4/MP3/WAV/AC3/H.264/H.263/eAAC+ player
- Image and Video editor
- Abode Flash support
- Document viewer and editor
- Google Search, Maps, YouTube, Gmail, GTalk, Picasa etc…
Few days back Apple launched its iPhone 4S and is expected to launch iOS on Oct 12th. Thus now Samsung and Google are going to get sandwiched between 1 enemy..!!
According to the latest news, the launch date has been postponed. And Samsung has said that the new date and venue will be announced shortly.

google is not going to be out of scene in the war of mobile and tablets. Certainly it will join hand with majors or will acquire other companies to penetrate this growing market of computing devices.

After owning both iPhones and Android smartphones I believe google’s android to be far superior. In my eye’s it’s apple who need to catch up otherwise they might start to find themselves out of scene!

This phone looks awesome. I’ve been waiting for a good dual core droid for a long time.
I really liked the Specifications of Samsung Nexus Prime. Its really cool to have such a cool gadget in hand which may rock in the wireless industry of cell phones. I would like to have this cell phone to be a part of my personality.
This mobile phone looks fantastic, the new Ice Cream Sandwich os seems to be getting good reviews. Google are slowly taking over the world one step at a time!

I like how google keeps on bringing out those Nexus phones to be benchmark android phones.
These specs are really great. But now with the Iphone 4s, I am really looking forward to seeing Google and Samsung’s response to that. With response I don’t mean that they will copy Apple, I mean they seem to be at least one step ahead of Apple at all times now. So with this new 4s Google is going to impress us with a new android os. (honeycomb is not that impressive), and Samsung will come with a new flagship phone to make the 4s look weak.
I hope for at least standard NFC integration.
Prime will have higher resolution than iPhone 4/S, but it also has a screen 1″ larger…
